Brain Training and Skill-Building to Strengthen Focus, Emotional Balance, and Daily Functioning
Parenting a child with ADHD can feel like you’re constantly reacting—putting out fires, repeating yourself, and trying strategies that make sense but don’t stick when stress is high. Many families have already read the books, watched the videos, and tried “tips” that don’t hold up in real life.
If you’re exhausted from big emotions, constant reminders and worry – this program is built for real life. We help you help your child become steadier from the inside out so skills can actually be useful.
Building Bright Futures program is designed to help youth become steadier from the inside out so focus, emotional balance, and follow-through are more accessible in daily life—at home, at school, and in relationships.
This program is a good fit for families with a child who:
-
Is 10–17 years old and diagnosed with ADHD (any presentation)
-
Struggles with big emotions, overwhelm, frustration, reactivity, or shutdown
-
Has difficulty with focus, follow-through, organization, or transitions
-
Feels discouraged by repeated negative feedback or conflict cycles
-
Needs support that is more structured and effective than “weekly talk therapy” alone
If your child has not been thoroughly evaluated and professionally diagnosed, we can discuss our assessment process and help determine next steps before the program begins.
We begin by building foundational regulation capacity, because:
-
when the nervous system is overwhelmed, the brain cannot think
-
when the body feels over stimulated or overloaded, nothing else matters
-
when emotions spike, reasoning and problem-solving drop offline
We build a solid foundation first so learned skills are accessible.
What Makes Building Bright Futures ADHD Program So Different
This is more than talk therapy.
We target the brain-body connection combined with therapy, skill building, nervous system regulation, and brain training for long-term benefit.
Families notice:
-
fewer blow ups and faster recovery after stress
-
smoother mornings, evenings, and transitions
-
improved tolerance for school demands
-
less parent-child conflict and more connection
-
better follow-through and day-to-day functioning
Progress doesn’t mean perfection. It means more steadiness, more flexibility, and fewer crisis cycles
The Commitment:
Two sessions per week for 12 weeks and daily practice.
-
Parent Session: understanding ADHD, learning supportive responses, working with instead of against ADHD, building structure, and strengthening the home environment
-
Youth Session: rapport, emotional awareness, regulation and coping capacity, and practical skills for daily demands
- Neuro regulation protocol to use regularly – optional Neurofeedback Brain Training (highly recommended)
