Building Bright Futures is a 12-week ADHD program for youth ages 10–17 and their parents, designed to reduce daily stress, strengthen regulation, and build practical skills that support success at home, school, and beyond.
This program is very different from most. We combine therapy, parent guidance, nervous system regulation, and brain-based training in a clear, supportive pathway — so families feel less overwhelmed and more confident moving forward.

*WHO THIS PROGRAM IS FOR
This program is a strong fit if:
-
- Your child (ages 10–17) has a confirmed ADHD diagnosis* interferring with functioning.
- Daily life feels unpredictable, exhausting, or tense
- You’re tired of reacting to behaviors and want tools that actually help
- You want support that goes beyond behavior charts or discipline strategies
- You’re looking for a thoughtful, developmentally informed alternative or complement to medication
*If assessment is needed, it must be completed separately prior to beginning the program. We can provide this.
WHAT MAKES THIS PROGRAM DIFFERENT
Most ADHD support focuses on managing behaviors and accommodations.
We work from the inside out, starting with regulation.
ADHD affects how the brain and nervous system manage attention, emotion, energy, and stress. When regulation is weak, it’s nearly impossible for children to access focus, follow through, or use coping strategies consistently.
Our work helps your child:
-
- Feel safer and calmer in their body
- Improve flexibility and emotional balance
- Build focus and executive functioning skills over time
When regulation improves, everything else works better — therapy, parenting tools, school supports, and daily routines.
Bright Futures is designed as an integrative program that includes structured sound-based nervous system support as a core component. At least one parent participates in the regulation phase prior to the child beginning. Families who prefer not to include this component are welcome to pursue traditional therapy services instead.
WHAT TO EXPECT: A CLEAR 12-WEEK PATHWAY
Program Structure
- Two sessions per week
- One parent session
- One youth session
- Occasional combined sessions to practice skills together
- Each week intentionally builds on the last
Between Sessions
- Small, realistic strategies practiced at home
- Observation and reflection — not perfection
- Support to help families shift from reacting to responding
This program works best when families are willing to slow down, stay consistent, and engage in the process with support.
THE TADAS APPROACH
At TADAS Counseling, we view ADHD as a difference in how the brain and nervous system operate — not a flaw, failure, or parenting issue. We empower you to help your child.
OUR APPROACH BLENDS
-
- Education and understanding
- Skill-building for both child and parent
- Regulation strategies that support long-term growth
- Optional brain-based supports introduced thoughtfully over time
REGULATION & BRAIN-BASED SUPPORTS
Brain Mapping (qEEG)
Provides insight into how your child’s brain is functioning, helping guide personalized recommendations.
Neurofeedback Training
A brain-based training approach that supports focus, emotional balance, and self-regulation through gentle, guided sessions.
This program is intentionally layered:
-
- Regulation first
- Skill-building second
- Brain-based supports added as appropriate
This pacing helps changes feel sustainable — not overwhelming.
Also Availble (Optional but highly regarded)
Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) for regulation
A sound-based listening program designed to support nervous system regulation, emotional flexibility, and connection. SSP helps many children feel calmer, more grounded, and more available for learning and interaction.
WHAT CHANGES OVER TIME
Families often notice:
-
- Fewer emotional meltdowns and power struggles
- Improved ability to recover after stress
- Better focus and follow-through
- Increased confidence — for both child and parent
- A calmer, more connected home environment
This program isn’t about “fixing” your child. It’s about understanding what their brain needs to thrive and developing tools to thrive.
What happens after the 12-week program ends?
You may feel ready to move on. You may want further support. Your therapist will be available to review options for continued support with you.
